Sassoon House
1934
Maxwell Fry & Elizabeth Denby
Grade II
Southwark

Grade II listed apartment block in Peckham, next to the Pioneer Health Centre. Designed by Maxwell Fry and housing consultant Elizabeth Denby,  the cost of the building was partly paid for by the mother of Reginald Sassoon, a jockey who died in a steeplechase at Lingfield in 1933. The building is constructed of reinforced concrete, the first of Fry’s buildings to be built this way.
