Finsbury Estate
1965
Emberton, Franck & Tardrew
Islington

Estate in Clerkenwell, originally commissioned by Finsbury Borough but not completed until 1965 when it had been merged into Islington. Like Brunswick Close, it was designed by the firm of Emberton, Franck and Tardew, with Carl Ludwig Franck overseeing the scheme. The estate consists of four blocks of one 25-storey, one 9-storey and two 4-storey. Finsbury Library, also by Franck, was built at the same time.
